KSCB receives trailer

Keep Mississippi Beautiful recently granted a trailer to Keep Simpson County Beautiful. The trailer will be used by  KSCB organization for various beautification projects around the county. The trailer will come in handy when the group participates in the next Great American Clean Up.







Braxton taps Barnett

The Town of Braxton held a special election on November 13 to fill a vacancy left by long-time Mayor Mable Everett, who passed away this year.

Three candidates qualified. Rodney Barnett, Shane Brown, and Tate Yelverton ran for office.


A Season to Share

Thanksgiving is a time to spend with family and share with one another the things we are thankful for. It is a time that should not be spent alone. Several local organizations have taken it upon themselves to ensure that everyone in Simpson County is able to share and fellowship during this time.







Tigers edge by Panthers 22-21, head into playoffs

The Tigers were almost at full strength in terms of injury last Friday night against Quitman. With playoff position on the line the Tigers took the field looking to lock up the second seed. Quitman was perceived to be one of their tougher opponents entering the season by many of the returning seniors. Their perception soon became reality.
