A women’s Bible study is in session and will meet again on Thursday, Oct. 18, at 9 a.m. in the Family Life Center at First Baptist Church of Magee. The study is No Other Gods by Kelly Minter, and the group leader is Charlie White. Study books are $13. All women in the community are welcome to participate.
The Salvation Army Christmas Assistance Registration for Smith/Simpson counties will be at the Magee Civic Center on Thursday, Oct. 18, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bring identification and documentation Do not bring children with you!

Magee Library will have a Halloween Party on Thursday, Oct. 18, at 4 p.m. Kids come to the library for a spooky good time! We will read some books, do some dancing, have some snacks and make a craft. This is for K-4th grade.

Morning prayer and afternoon luncheon is held every Thursday at Mt. Moriah Church. Prayer time is 11 a.m. until noon. Lunch and fellowship time is 12:15-1:15 p.m. Prayer and lunch are open to all people to get spiritually fed and natural food for the soul. The Books-n-Lunch Club meets at the Magee Library at 12:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month to discuss a book chosen for adult readers. New participants are welcome.
