The Mendenhall High School Fall Festival will be held at the school on Thursday, Oct. 31, from 5-8 p.m. They will have a haunted house, Bingo, costume contest, Trunk or Treat, health fair and food. Kennedy Springs Baptist Church Mission Center "FALL/WINTER SALE" Friday and Saturday, Nov. 1 & 2, (8 a.m.-12 noon). They are open the 1st and 3rd Friday and Saturday each month with huge selections of clothing, scrubs, what-nots, toys, linens, books and much more at inexpensive prices. They've got coats, jackets, sweaters, sweats, toboggans, boots and even some cool hunting clothes. Also, weather permitting, they will have a trailer load of toys outside! They receive new items often from CATO, Ballyhoo, Dollar General, TAGS and other boutiques. They also offer free Bibles, Sunday school books and prayer devotion books. Station 7 Fire Department will have a fundraiser at their sub station on Hwy 540 on Saturday, Nov. 2, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. They will be selling hamburgers, hot dogs and boiled peanuts and ask everyone to come out to help support their local community fire department.
Puckett Methodist Women to hold Missions Market Place, Saturday Nov. 2, from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Puckett United Methodist Church, 6412 Hwy 18 in downtown Puckett. Proceeds go to help children on the autism spectrum attend the Center Ridge Outpost summer camp. Funds will also go to our Friends in Need campaign to help those with cancer and other medical expenses. Our day will include vendors with handmade items, rummage sale, raffle items, and a soup lunch café for $5. We will be selling our frozen casseroles to help you get through the Thanksgiving and Christmas season. Table space is available for $25. Morning prayer and afternoon luncheon is held every Thursday at Mt. Moriah Church. Prayer time is 11 a.m. until noon.
