The Town of Mt. Olive will have Scarecrow Festival Wednesday, Oct. 31, from 5 to 7 p.m. downtown between 4th and 6th streets.
A “Healthy Halloween” at Co-Lin Simpson County Center Copiah-Lincoln Community College’s Simpson County Center is hosting a FREE Health Fair on Wednesday, October 31, from 9 a.m.-12 noon. The public is invited to take advantage of free services and resources that will be made available throughout the health fair. Representatives from various groups and organizations will also be providing a variety of free services. Flu shots will be available for $25. Most Insurance will be accepted. Simpson County Cattlemen’s Association will have a steak sandwich fundraiser on Saturday, Nov. 3. Plates are $10 and will include a steak sandwich, chips and drink. Morning prayer and afternoon luncheon is held every Thursday at Mt. Moriah Church. Prayer time is 11 a.m. until noon. Lunch and fellowship time is 12:15-1:15 p.m. Prayer and lunch are open to all people to get spiritually fed and natural food for the soul. The Books-n-Lunch Club meets at the Magee Library at 12:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month to discuss a book chosen for adult readers. New participants are welcome.
