Simpson County Branch of the NAACP will host a town hall meeting at the Magee Civic Center 117 1st Ave. NW Magee on July 20 at 2 p.m. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss issues and concerns with the Simpson County School system affecting our children in our community with the Simpson County School Board. We would like our concerned citizens of Simpson County to be in attendance with your questions ready. Please come out and find out what’s going on in our schools.

Morning prayer and afternoon luncheon is held every Thursday at Mt. Moriah Church. Prayer time is 11 a.m. until noon. Lunch and fellowship time is 12:15-1:15 p.m. Prayer and lunch are open to all people to get spiritually fed and natural food for the soul.
