Arrest Reports 10-18-2018

The Simpson County Sheriff’s Office reported 18 arrests from October 8 to October 15.

The SCSO reported the following additional arrests: disturbance of family (2), switch tag, warrant (2), no insurance (2), work program (5), hold, DUI, court order, ATV on roadway, false pretense, domestic assault, and domestic violence.

Hit and run in D'lo

Sheriff Donald O’Cain reported that a hit and run occurred on September 8. Investigator Joe Andrews explained that at approximately 7:45 p.m. Robert Pope of D’Lo was struck by a vehicle on Highway 149 in D’Lo. Andrews said the suspected vehicle is a white Chevrolet or GMC four door that was pulling a black car hauler.




Arrest Reports 9-13-2018

The Simpson County Sheriff’s Office reported 37 arrests from September 3 to September 10.

Shawn Michael Tullos of 2373 Simpson Highway 149 Braxton MS was arrested on September 6 and charged with aggravated assault with a weapon.


Home invasion thwarted

The Simpson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call that came in at 5:30 a.m., Thursday, August 23.

 The incident was described by investigator Leon Wedgeworth as a home invasion that occurred at a residence on Van Zandt Road in Braxton.
