The Simpson County Sheriff’s Office reported 23 arrests from September 10 to September 17.
Sheriff Donald O’Cain reported that a hit and run occurred on September 8. Investigator Joe Andrews explained that at approximately 7:45 p.m. Robert Pope of D’Lo was struck by a vehicle on Highway 149 in D’Lo. Andrews said the suspected vehicle is a white Chevrolet or GMC four door that was pulling a black car hauler.
Sheriff Donald O’Cain reported that the Simpson County Sheriff’s Department recovered stolen property last week. The property was stolen from Magee United Pentecostal Church located on Highway 28 East. Investigator Chris Wallace explained that the church was burglarized on August 28.

Shawn Michael Tullos of 2373 Simpson Highway 149 Braxton MS was arrested on September 6 and charged with aggravated assault with a weapon.
The Simpson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call that came in at 5:30 a.m., Thursday, August 23.
The incident was described by investigator Leon Wedgeworth as a home invasion that occurred at a residence on Van Zandt Road in Braxton.

Tommy O’neal Keys of 217 Hosey Road Magee MS was arrested on August 26 and charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of paraphernalia, and no driver’s license

State and local law enforcement officers arrested 13 drug suspects Tuesday in Mendenhall, Magee, D’Lo and other areas of Simpson County.
An operation was conducted the morning of August 7 at a residence on 11th Avenue NW Magee MS by the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics. The Magee Police Department was involved in a support role.
