The Magee Bicentennial Committee is gearing up for several activities showcasing the unique history of the city.
Events are planned from April 13-April 27 and will include a Bicentennial fair, prayer breakfast, art show, skits, tour of historic homes, a cemetery tour, fashion show, and much more.
Citizens will also be able to view historic photos and memorabilia that will be on display at the Community House museum. Local residents have donated items to the museum, which covers all aspects of Magee’s history.
The committee is asking for help to identify an artist of paintings of the old drive-in movie theater and railroad with an unclear artist’s signature. Anyone able to identify the artist by the signature can contact Jean Allen at 601-842-3930.
