Mendenhall’s Friday Nights on Main Kick-Off Party will be held on March 2 on Main Street beginning at 6 p.m. There will be antique cars and trucks, hot rods, race vehicles, motorcycles and plenty of food, drinks and entertainment for the whole family. Vendors are welcome. 55 South will be jamming on the Main Stage or enjoy some karaoke music by Party Tyme DJ Services on the south stage. Sponsored by Cooksey Builders Inc. Friday Nights on Main will be held the first Friday of every month.

A Pre-Appreciation Musical Program will be hosted by Higher Level Worship Center in honor of Pastor Rev. Dwight and First Lady Pearl Robinson on Saturday, March 3. This event will take place at Higher Level Worship Center beginning at 5 p.m. Everyone is invited.
A special brunch for First Lady Elmira Willis will be held on Saturday, March 3, at 10 a.m. at Disciples of Christ Family Center in the Fellowship Hall. The dress for this occasion is denim. A fundraiser for Jennifer Craft will be held at the 5-way stop in Downtown Magee on March 3 from 8 a.m. until. There will be gift basket raffles, cakes and other bake sale items for purchase and t-shirt orders will be taken. All donations are welcome and greatly appreciated. For more information contact Emily Coleman at 814-691-3319. Jennifer was diagnosed with osteosarcoma (bone cancer) in October of 2016. She took several rounds of chemotherapy and had surgery in February of 2017. In December of 2017 she was informed that the cancer had returned. All funds raised will help cover medical expenses.

The sixth year anniversary program for Oak Ridge M.B. Church’s pastor, Rev. Dr. Eric Dixson, Sr., will be held on March 4 at 1:30 p.m. Theme: “A servant called to spiritual services,” Matthew 28:19-20. The guest speaker will be Rev. Magee High School Class of 1988 will celebrate their 30 year reunion on Friday, June 1, with a Meet and Greet at Magee High School from 6-7 p.m. and tour the old stomping ground and reminisce. A block party will be held at The Vault in Downtown Magee from 7-10 p.m. On Saturday, June 2, the 30 year class celebration will be held at Pretty Unique event venue, Hwy 18 W, Jackson, from 7 p.m. to midnight. The cost for the 2 day event is $150 per classmate and allows one guest. A deposit of $75 is due by March 12 and the final payment of $75 is due by April 2.
