Dorothy A. Jones, 97, of Magee, passed away Sunday October 21, 2018, at Magee General Hospital. She was born Wednesday, December 22, 1920.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 27, 2018, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Old Good Hope Primitive Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Saturday, October 27, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Old Good Hope Primitive Baptist Church. Burial followed in Old Good Hope Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Elder Ricky Harcrow officiated. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee handled arrangements (601) 849-5031.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob H. Jones; parents, V.F. Sullivan and Rhoda Sullivan; brother, Ray H. Sullivan, Sr.
Survivors include her daughter, Cynthia Higgs (David); grandson, Michael Higgs (Amber); great- grand-dog, Abby; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Jeff Jones, Andy Kennedy, Dirk Layton, Ben Berry, Gary Turner, and Doug Warren.
Honorary pallbearers were Tim Austin and Mike Davis.
