Mendenhall rejects ‘Safe City’ resolution

When the Mendenhall Mayor and Board of Aldermen met recently for their first July session, it marked the first meeting of the new board following the general election.
The meeting was conducted by Mayor Pro Tempore and Alderman-at- Large Tim Gray. Mayor Todd Booth was physically absent from the meeting but attended via telephone.

Magee High School’s standout shortstop Brennon McNair-BMac- was the only high school player in Mississippi to be selected in the 2021 MLB Draft, where he was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 11th round. McNair is joined by Kansas City Royals Area Supervisor Travis Ezi as he signs his contract (left). Magee High School’s standout shortstop Brennon McNair--BMac to his friends--was the only high school player in Mississippi to be selected in the 2021 MLB Draft. The Kansas City Royals drafted McNair in the 11th round with the 319th pick.

Mayor, city board begin new terms

The Mendenhall Mayor and Board of Aldermen swore into their respective positions on Wednesday, June 30, to begin the new term.
The board is comprised of Mayor Todd Booth, Alderman-at-Large Tim Gray, Alderwoman Ward 1 Judy Lee, Alderman Ward 2 Robert Mangum, Alderwoman Ward 3 Janna Miller, and Alderman Ward 4 Arthur Walker Sr.
