The Simpson County Board of Supervisors recognized the public service of James Roy “Red” Grantham Jr. of Harrisville. Grantham started his career with the county in September of 1992. Tigers take both games against Trojans

The Mendenhall Tigers left the Magee High School gym undefeated in varsity play after two very competitive games by the Trojans. The Lady Tigers were able to hold off a comeback by the Lady trojans and win the game with a final score of 49-47. The Lady Tigers were led by junior center Kam McLaurin in scoring.

Mendenhall Police Department seizes cocaine, meth, and firearms

Chief Candy McCullum of the Mendenhall Police Department reported a significant drug bust made by his officers during a traffic stop. George Cavanaugh was pulled over for a routine traffic stop during which the officer smelled marijuana prompting a search of the vehicle.
