Funeral services for Mr. Jimmy Clyde Shaw, 48, Hattiesburg, MS ( formerly of Mendenhall) were held on Saturday, October 19, 2019, at 1 p.m. from the Chapel at Reeves Funeral Home. Interment was in the Pillars of Truth Cemetery, Mendenhall. Elder Bobby Hamilton officiated the services. Reeves Funeral Home, Inc., Mount Olive, MS was in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Shaw passed away on October 11, 2019, at Wesley Merit Hospital, Hattiesburg, MS.
Honorary pallbearers were Jerry Burkett, Otis Burkett, Charles Lott, James Taylor, Robert Burkett, Dale Burkett, Uric Taylor, and Dennis Williams.

Mr. Shaw attended Simpson County Schools and graduated from Mendenhall High School in 1990.
He was a member of the True Bible Way Holiness Church, where he served as an usher.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Clyde Shaw; and brother, Patrick W. Shaw.
Survivors include his wife, Sophia Hodges Shaw; mother, Willie Sue Burkett; father, LeRoy Burkett; children, Jimmy Shaw, Jr, Jackson, MS, Zae Franks, Magee, Connesha Hodges, Jeremiah Hodges, Patrick Shaw, Kayden Shaw, and Jayla Shaw, all of Hattiesburg; brothers, Robert Burkett and Dale Burkett, both of Jackson; Otis (Sharlett) Wyn, Madison, MS, and Jerry (Mary) Burkett, Braxton; sisters, Donna (Terry) Evans, Jackson, and Carol Lynn (Jerry) Stapleton, Mendenhall; sisters-in-law, Melissa Hodges Bullock (Myron), Nicole Hodges Badgett (Shae), Felisha Hodges (Quamaine Durr), all of Hattiesburg, and Angela Hodges, Collins, MS; brothers-in-law, Ricardo Hodges (Christy), Collins, and Toby Hodges (Sander), Columbia, MS; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
