Mr. Jimmy Lynn Carmichael, age 79 died at Hospice Ministries in Madison, MS on Saturday, August 1, 2020. The cause of death was cancer.
Born on May 15, 1941 in Jackson, MS he lived in Magee, MS before settling in Flora, MS. He served in the Mississippi Army National Guard at Camp Shelby. He served in Co A 2nd SF 20th Special Forces as a Sgt, he was a expert Rifleman and had his Jumpmaster badge.
After the Army he worked for Avery Body Co. in Magee as a Cost Analyst then he worked several other jobs with the same degree at Louisville Hickory, Pipers Industry and Colonial Country Club as the Assistant Golf Pro until retiring. Where he worked full time in his workshop building wood pieces for family and friends
Survivors included his daughter Christye Bryant (Sonny) son Craig L. Carmichael (Lacey) son Chad Carmichael (Traci) and brother, Terry Carmichael. He had 3 grandchildren, Lyndsay McIntosh (Andy), Matthew Carmichael (Lauren), Chasity Wilson (Doug) and 3 great grand-children. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Carmichael of Flora, his brother A.B. Mikey Carmichael and his mother Mary Eleanor Carr Carmichael.
