Mary Louise Stephenson, 69, passed away Thursday, September 13, 2018, at her home in Florence surrounded by her loved ones. Visitation was Sunday, September 16, at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence from 12 noon until the 2 p.m. graveside service at Richland City Cemetery.
Mrs. Stephenson was a resident of Florence and a member of Mountain Creek Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She spent over 20 years as a claims manager at Armstrong Relocation. The last nine years she spent working at Villa South Assisted Living facility. She also volunteered weekly maintaining the nails of the residents.
Mrs. Stephenson is preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, George “Frank” Willis Stephenson, Sr; by her parents, Jodie and Helen Sheppard; and by her brother, Travis Sheppard. She is survived by her son, Freddie (Stacy) Ward of Cabot, AR; daughters, Mellette Douglas of Brandon, MS, Jodie (Mickey) Hedgepeth of Florence, MS, Susan (Sean) Lee of Olive Branch, MS; sister, Tommie Dell Roberts of Richland, MS; 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
