Thomas Ray Reeves

Thomas Ray Reeves, 68, of Mendenhall passed away Sunday, September 24, 2017, at his home.
Funeral services were held Thursday, September 28, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Crossroads Holiness Church, Raleigh. Burial followed in Magee City Cemetery in Magee with Colonial Chapel in charge of arrangements.
He is preceded in death by his father, James Reeves; wife, Judy Reeves; sister-in-law, Jessie Reeves; brother, Willie Dale Reeves.
Survivors include his wife, Amanda Reeves; daughters, Linda Jernigan and Denessa McLemore; mother, Louise Reeves; brother, Mack Reeves; four stepchildren; four grandchildren; five great-grand-children.
Glenn Dale Robinson
Glenn Dale Robinson passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2017. He was born on October 27, 1949, to the late Oliver Robinson and Lennie L. (Puckett) Robinson.
He served his country in the United States Army.
He is survived by his daughters, Stacy R. Shaw (Jason), Glenda Russell (Donald); brother, Gerald Robinson; former wife, Barbara Brown Robinson; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind special ladies that he considered daughters, LaShea Whiteside, Daisy McLaurin, Karyn Rayborn and Tera Witnebor.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, George Robinson.
Visitation for friends was Friday, September 29, 2017, at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Services were at 2 p.m. in the chapel with interment following in Old Good Hope Cemetery.
Brenda Wilson
Brenda Wilson, 61, passed away September 27, 2017, at her residence.
Visitation was held Friday, September 29, 2017, from 5-8 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home.
Funeral services were held Saturday, September 30, 2017, at 10 a.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Wilson is preceded in death by her parents, Willis and Edna Ramage, and five sisters.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by sons, Wayne Wilson, Johnnie Wilson (Christine); daughter, Becky Wilson; two brothers and three sisters; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Pamela Nelson Loper
Pelahatchie
Pamela Jo Nelson Loper passed away on September 28, 2017, at Merit Health in Brandon, at the age of 59. She was born on December 27, 1957, to James L. Nelson and Fay (Rials) Nash in Columbus, GA.
Pamela is survived by three sons, Shane Fortenberry, Brooks Shumaker and Brian Shumaker; brothers, David Nelson, Robert Nelson, Dwain Nelson; and five grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Loper; and a brother, James R. Nelson.
At the request of the family, no services will be held at this time.
Arrangements were entrusted to Tutor Funeral Home of Magee.
Benny Joe Pierce
Benny Joe Pierce, 76, passed away on Friday, September 29, 2017, at his residence. He was born on February 5, 1941, to the late Homer Pierce and Ida Mae (Mulligan) Pierce in Rankin County.
Benny was a lifelong Simpson County horse and cattle farmer. He has been a member of The American Quarter Horse Association for over 50 years and also a member of The Mississippi Cattleman's Association.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy Jean McLendon Pierce; two sons, Jeff Pierce (Kimberly),Chad Pierce (Janet); daughters, April Pierce Prince (Wallace), Sara Kennedy (Russ), Crystal Bufkin (Ben); brothers, Jimmy Pierce, Homer Pierce, Jr. ; 15 grandchildren, Kaylin Walters (Brandon), Colt Pierce, Rivers Pierce, Brooklyn Pierce, Jett Pierce, Josh Pierce (Lauren), Jonathan Pierce, Corey Prince, Tyler Prince, Lawton Kennedy, Aubren Kennedy, Bryce Bufkin, Cassidy Ross, Mollie Bufkin and Caley Ross.
Visitation for friends was Saturday, September 30, 2017, at Tutor Funeral Home in Mendenhall, from 5-8 p.m. Services were held Sunday, October 1, 2017, at 4 p.m. at Tutor Funeral Home with additional visitation from2-4 p.m. prior to the service. Interment followed in Pinola Cemetery. Bro. Johnie May, Bro. David Jager and Bro. Jay Wesbrooks officiated.
Pallbearers were Jeff Pierce, Chad Pierce, Wallace Prince, Russ Kennedy, Ben Rufkin, Chesley Abernathy, Mark Patrick, Dusty Busby. Honorary pallbearers are Josh Pierce, John Pierce, Tyler Prince, Corey Prince, Lawton Kennedy, Aubren Kennedy, Colt Pierce, Richard Abernathy, Jerry Wayne McLendon and David Tadlock.
Arrangements were entrusted to Tutor Funeral Home of Mendenhall.

Edwin Earl Thompson, 71, of D’Lo passed away Saturday, September 30, 2017, at Simpson General Hospital in Mendenhall. He was born Friday, June 14, 1946.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, October 4, 2017, at 3 p.m. at D'Lo Cemetery in D Lo. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee was in charge of arrangements.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Nadine Thompson.
Survivors include his friend, Lynette Purvis, and many friends.
