National Guard not trained to do law enforcement

In August, Gov. Tate Reeves deployed 200 troops from the Mississippi National Guard’s 1st Battalion, 204th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, to Washington, D.C. They were sent, Reeves said, in support of President Donald Trump’s push to “return law and order to our nation’s capital.”
“Crime is out of control there, and it’s clear something must be done to combat it,” Reeves added.

The human brain has proven to be remarkably adaptable and pliable to its changing environment.
Think about the environment in which we evolved over thousands of years. The amount of external stimulation was relatively minimal. The wind blew, the sun shone, the average person interacted with just a few dozen people in their lifetime. Plants and vegetation were fixed and predictable.

Many Republican U.S. senators, when they voted several months ago to confirm Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as Health and Human Services secretary, had to know they were letting politics overrule common sense.
Specifically, the senators were unwilling to tell President Trump that Kennedy, given his lengthy history of denying the value of settled medical practices, particularly those involving vaccines, was unfit for this job.
