His life is turned upside down today after the June 12, 2025 press conference of the United States Department of Homeland Security. This is the greatest tragedy yet in the era of the second Trump Administration.
Alejandro, or otherwise Alex Padilla, is the Senator from California in the United States Senate, representing California in the Federal United States Senate alongside the junior US Senator, Adam Schiff.

Dear Editor:
Immigration is the most critical issue facing America. In recent weeks, ICE has been busy. There have been lots of raids and approximately 800 daily arrests of illegal immigrants nationwide. The administration wants one million deportations this year. In Los Angeles, this crackdown triggered protests that turned violent. President Trump has now sent National Guard troops and even a small number of Marines to enforce the law. Leftwing agitators in other cities seem to be gearing up for more protests.

Once the province of politicians and totalitarian governments – the Soviet Union’s disinformation apparatus during the Cold War was a marvel – truth management has now infiltrated the sources we rely upon for information in America.
“Sound decision making relies on the ability of an individual to analyze the facts at hand and come to a rational conclusion about the best course of action based on those facts,” according to the American Security Project.

The initial vote taken by the board in April to seek public comment on cutting from four to three the number of tests most high schoolers must pass in order to graduate had only one dissenter. Objections, even from the state’s senior U.S. senator, Roger Wicker, was unlikely to change the leanings of the board’s majority.

As he is accustomed to doing, President Donald Trump may be exaggerating the success of America’s surprise attack over the weekend on three of Iran’s key nuclear facilities.
Within hours of the unleashing of bunker-busting bombs and cruise missiles, the president declared that the strikes “completely and totally obliterated” the facilities. In reality, it may take a while to learn how much damage the U.S. strike did to Iran’s nuclear capabilities and that rogue nation’s thinly veiled desire to develop weapons of mass destruction.

The new Amazon data centers in Madison will consume 50 to 100 percent as much electricity as every other home, business and industry on the Entergy Mississippi grid combined.
Any of the major AI platforms can quickly estimate how much electricity a $16 billion data center will consume. Perplexity AI, my favorite, states: “Based on industry benchmarks for hyperscale data center construction costs and power density, a $16 billion investment would likely support a peak electrical load between 800 megawatts and 1.6 gigawatts.”
