Mendenhall Jr. High School (MJH) is pleased to announce the winners of its School Reading Fair, held on Oct. 12.
Together, MJH had 12 students to win first, second or third place in the individual or group divisions. These students will advance to the Simpson County School District Reading Fair on Nov. 15 to showcase their projects on a fictional or nonfictional book.

Division E - Individual Literary Fiction

· Third Place: Alayna Arinder, 7th Grade
Division H - Individual Informational Nonfiction Text
· First Place: Savannah Durr, 6th Grade
Division K - Group Literary Fiction
· First Place: Mikayla Welch, Mylee Rushing, Amelia Sanders – 7th Grade
· Second Place: Makullan Jones and Landon Murray – 6th Grade
· Third Place: Kaylee Chamblee, Miracle Stapleton, and Madison Thornton, 6th Grade
