Mendenhall’s Ke’Shun Collier was selected in the 20th round of the Major League Baseball draft by the Chicago Cubs as an outfielder. He was the only outfielder selected by the Cubs this year.

Hayes signed a scholarship

Mendenhall High School’s Ralph Hayes has signed a scholarship to further his education and baseball career with Tougaloo College. Hayes signed with Tougaloo as an infielder and pitcher. He was joined by coaches Gary Anderson, Dante Benford, and Head Coach Earl Sanders.
