Simpson Academy’s sofball season came to an end on Saturday afternoon with a 14-3 loss to Jackson Prep in the Overall State AAAA Championship Series. The Lady Cougars have nothing to hang their heads about as they finished the season with a school record 28 wins, a State AAAA DII Championship, and the Overall State AAAA Runner-up.
With only one senior Bailey Sartin, who will be greatly missed, the Lady Cougar Softball future looks bright. The Lady Cougars have made our school very proud. If you didn’t get to see them play, you missed a team with great heart and a never give up attitude.
Congratulations to the players, and Coach Adam Evans, Coach Bart Carter, Coach Layce Evans, Coach Jeff Wedgeworth, and Coach Blake Blakeney on a great season.
