Dear Editor:
I am very concerned for our nation. It’s clear to me that we are divided in our way of thinking and the way we live our lives. But we can make a difference. We can love our neighbor as we love ourselves. We can look out for and care only ourselves. We can love only those who love us. We can live self- centered lives and stay divided.
I pray that we can and will turn to the scriptures and make a difference. 2nd Chronicles 7:14 is the answer and the cure for our nation. Oh, for the sake of the USA. The antidote for the lawlessness is the law of love.
Do we think the people will get things together by walking alone? Do we think the right people in government will pull us together as a nation? Can two walk or work together and not agree? It’s better to forgive and consider the other person’s point of view. There are many hurting people in the world. I believe that hurting people hurt other people. Isn’t that what we see going on all around us today? We can all do better. We can each make a difference. Is one penny worth anything? It takes 100 of them to make a full dollar. I’ve heard it said that some people are not worth a cent. I believe that is not true. I believe that Jesus made the difference when he left the 100 and looked for and found the one lost lamb. Are you that lost lamb? I am, that lost lamb if I am away from the others and trying to find my way alone. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. None of us can come to the right and peaceful way of living until we learn the peace that only comes from the Savior of the whole world. Walking alone can be a lonely life and we don’t have to walk it alone. We will have to forgive if we want to be forgiven.
Do you like people? There is one that hates us as well. He wants to kill, steal and destroy each and every one of us! His name is Satan, the deceiver of the whole world. He is the father of all lies. He deceived 1/3 of the angels in Heaven. If you think he can’t deceive you, you are very wrong. He might have you deceived right now. If you think you can’t make a difference you are deceived!
Walk in the light and that dark way of thinking will disappear. Jesus says, we the people of God are the Light of the World. The darkness can’t stay around when light comes on the scene. So, let’s get together and make a greater light, so the darkness will have to disappear. If your light is small or if your light is strong, it doesn’t make a difference when we come together as one huge light. So, I will do what I can and with the love of God I will make a difference.
