James Louis Runnels, passed away May 3, 2022. He was born November 25, 1937.
A graveside service was held on May 4, 2022, at Sharon Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Magee, Mississippi. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee was in charge of arrangements, 601-849-5031.
He was preceded in death by son, Johnny "Ringo" Runnels; father, Travis Runnels; mother, Mazie Vondell Maddox Runnels; four brothers, Fred Runnels, Travis Runnels, Curtis Runnels and Johnny Runnels; and one sister, Dora Mae Runnels Wilson.
He is survived by wife Dorothy Hathron Runnels; sons, James Alford Runnels and Johnny Alford Runnels ; step-son, Greg Evans; step-daughter, Patricia Evans Runnels; grandchildren, Chelsea Runnels and Mathew Runnels; four brothers, Jackie Runnels, Robert Runnels, Thomas Runnels and Patrick Runnels.
