Simpson County Sheriff Paul Mullins joined Perry Sorey and the Dixie National Wagon Train as they traveled through Mendenhall and made camp at D’Lo Water Park last week. James David Parker, 61, of Huntsville, Texas, died Tuesday at St Mary's Hospital in Cottonwood ID. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 1:00 PM at White Oak Baptist Church. Ms. Bridgett Ann Carson, age 51, departed this life February 3, 2018 in Jackson.

A service for Ms. Carson was held Saturday, Feb. 10 at New Vineyard Church, Rained Road, Jackson. Her final resting place is Autumn Woods Cemetery, Northside Drive, Jackson.

Jettie Mae Craft, 85, of Magee, Mississippi, died Tuesday at Magee General Hospital. She was born Monday, October 31, 1932.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee.


Johnny T. Tullos

Johnny T Tullos, 70, of Braxton, Mississippi, died Monday at Bedford Care Nursing Home in Mendenhall. He was born Tuesday, February 3, 1948.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall.

Benny Harold Prince passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2018, at Simpson General Hospital surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on October 18, 1935, in Simpson County, to John Berlie Prince and Mary (Heitt) Prince.

Mr. Ronnie Pokey Gaylor, age 61, departed this life on March 7, 2018 at his home in Jackson. Services were held Saturday, March 17 at 11 a.m. at Truevine M.B. Church, Jackson. Mr. Graylor’s final resting place is Autumn Woods Cemetery, Northside Drive, Jackson.
