Joe Garner, Sr. 75, of Raleigh, Mississippi, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2020. He was born Tuesday, July 25, 1944.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 24, 2020, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home Magee.






MISSING

On April 22, 2019, Mr. James “Tony” Barker reported that his wife, Elizabeth “Liz” Barker was missing.  Mr. Barker says that he last saw his wife around 10:30 this morning at the family home on East Street just outside the city limits of Mendenhall.  She was wearing a purple LSU jacket and blue jeans and carrying her purse. Christmas Tour Sunday, December 1, 2019

The Ollie Mayhall BYW of the First Baptist Church of Magee is hosting a Christmas Tour Sunday, December 1, 2019 from 2-4 PM.  The Raynold and Tiffany Kinslow home, The Russell building including the offices and apartment of Debra and Jonathan Styron, and Hopewell Presbyterian Church are included on the tour.  Tickets are $10 and may be purchase

Arrest Reports 7-21-2017

The Simpson County Sheriff’s Office reported 23 arrests from September 11 to September 18.
Jason Jordan of 616 Hillen Bale Hattiesburg MS was arrested on September 16 and charged with possession of methamphetamine.
