Robert E. “Lil Joe” Longino departed this life on October 31, 2018, at his home in Hattiesburg. Services for Mr. Longino are Thursday, November 8, at 11 a.m. at Spring Hill M.B. Church, in Prentiss. Mr. Loginio’s final resting place will be Zion Hill Church Cemetery in Prentiss.


Bessie G. Brown

Bessie G. Brown departed this life on October 28 at University Medical Center in Jackson. Services for Ms. Brown are Saturday, November 10, at 11 a.m. at First Hyde Park Baptist Church in Jackson. Ms. Brown’s final resting place will be Autumn Woods Cemetery, Northside Drive, Jackson.



Johnny King

Johnny King departed this life on October 30, 2018, in Jackson. Memorial services for Mr. King will be Saturday, November 10, at 11 a.m. at Westhaven Funeral Home inJackson. Final resting place will be Jackson Crematory.

Renae Elaine Coleman’s funeral services were Saturday, November 3, 2018, at Westhaven Memorial Home in Magee. Ms. Coleman’s final resting place was Magee Cemetery, in Jeff Davis County.

Josie Lee Walker

Funeral services for Mrs. Josie Lee Walker, 82, New Hebron, MS, were held on Saturday, November 3, 2018, at 2 p.m. from Taylor Hill Missionary Baptist Church, New Hebron.  Interment was in the church cemetery.  Reverend Robert McDuffy officiated the services.  Reeves Funeral Home, Inc., Mount Olive, was in charge of the arrangements.




Dustin William Grubbs

Dustin William Grubbs, 34, died from an auto accident on Saturday, November 3, 2018. He was a volunteer fireman with the Magee Fire Department and was responding to a fire call when the accident occurred. 

Dustin was born on May 18, 1984, to William (Billy) Grubbs and Rebecca (Wilborn) Walker.
