Magee Lady Trojans shooting guard Sabreya Lee signed with the Pearl River Wildcats. Lee is the leading scorer on her team and will be stepping into a similar role for the Wildcats. She currently leads the Lady Trojans with 24.5 points per game.

Crystal Brewer, school counselor at Simpson Central School in Pinola, has been named a 2018 School Counselor of the Year finalist by the American School Counselor Association (ASCA).
Brewer, a graduate of William Carey University, has been a school counselor for 16 years and has been at Simpson Central School since 2001.
Magee High School and Mendenhall High School decided it was time to give a little recognition to some of their students.
In Magee they started a the 22 Club for students who score above 21 on the ACT, which is where the scholarship monies start for students who are interested in going to college.
Kameron Durr, a senior at Magee High School and drum major of the Trojan Marching Band, has been named drum major for the 2018 Mississippi Lions All-State Band.
Durr won the position after several auditions before a panel of judges from across the state.

In June 2017, the Magee High School Varsity Cheerleaders attended cheer camp at Mississippi State. As a result of their efforts at camp, they were awarded the All-Superior Trophy which qualified them to attend and perform in the pre-game show of the Citrus Bowl on December 31 in Orlando, Florida.
