The presidential primary election was held on March 10 in Mississippi. Only 5,789 ballots were cast in Simpson County of a total of 17,219 registered voters, which equaled nearly 33 percent of the voting population.
The ballot featured three races which were for president, Senate, and the Third Congressional District.
