The Braxton Fire Department held its annual Family Night last Saturday evening, bringing firefighters and their families together for a night of fellowship and recognition.
During the event, Chief Jason Busby and Assistant Chief Anthony Morrow presented several awards honoring outstanding service and dedication within the department over the past year.
Billy Bridges was named Fireman of the Year for his commitment and service to the department. Virginia Montgomery received recognition for making the most calls during the year, reflecting her dedication to responding whenever needed. The Rookie of the Year award was presented to James Stevens, honoring his strong performance and contribution as a new member of the department.
Department leaders expressed appreciation for the hard work of all firefighters and the continued support of their families, noting that events like Family Night provide an opportunity to recognize service while strengthening the close-knit fire department community.
