All CMRLS Libraries will close on Monday, January 18, in observance of the birthday anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. (1929-1968) and Robert E. Lee (1807-1870). Regular library hours will resume on Tuesday, January 19. All digital resources, including reference materials, eBooks, eAudioBooks, eMagazines, and downloadable music are available at www.cmrls.lib.ms.us while libraries are closed. Have a safe and happy holiday.

The Board of Supervisors & Simpson County Solid Waste office will be closed January 18th, 2021 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Mondays route & part of Tuesdays will be picked up Tuesday beginning at 6 am, with part of Tuesdays & Wednesdays being picked up Wednesday beginning at 6am, part of Wednesdays & Thursday's will be collected on Thursday beginning at 6am.
Please have your trash out and in bags by 6 am for pickup.

Municipal elections will be held in Simpson County on June 8, 2021. Candidates have from Monday, Jan. 4, to the deadline of Friday, Feb. 5, 2021, to qualify to run for open positions such as mayor or alderman in Magee, Mendenhall, D’Lo or Braxton. To run for office, a candidate must notify the leadership of the party in which he or she intends to run, or if running as an independent, the candidate must file a letter of intent with the city clerk of the municipality in which he or she is seeking office.
