Cheryl Grubbs Pansano, 75, of Mendenhall, MS, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at the Simpson General Hospital in Mendenhall, MS. She was born Tuesday, October 12, 1948 in Jackson, MS.
Visitation was held on Friday, June 7, 2024 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall, 3077 Simpson Hwy 13, Mendenhall, MS. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. following the visitation. Burial followed in Grubbs Cemetery in Magee, MS. Dr. Frank Harmon officiated. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Cheryl retired from the State of Mississippi, Simpson County Extension Service after 25 years. She enjoyed spending time in her yard. She loved to travel, especially to see her grandkids play sports. She was a doting “Gran” and loved her grandkids fiercely. She enjoyed cooking for everyone, especially when it revolved around a good football game. Many cherished moments were spent sitting around the living room with her family and a good cup of coffee. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her son, Whitney Pansano, III; father, George B. Grubbs; mother, Lilly Shannon Grubbs; and brother, Brent Grubbs.
She is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Whitney Pansano, Jr.; son, Chris Caughman (Melissa); daughter, Chantell Caughman Miles (Bill); grandchildren, Cade Caughman, Abby Caughman Weeks (Cole), Bryce Caughman and Baden Miles; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family.
Pallbearers were Cade Caughman, Bryce Caughman, Baden Miles, Cole Weeks, Jason Grubbs, and Darryl Brock.
