GriefShare, a 12-week grief support group, that began on Sunday, Jan. 18, at First Baptist Church of Magee will continue through April 19 in the Parlor of the Family Life Center, 222 First St. NW, Magee. Meetings will be held every Sunday from 3-5 p.m. through April 19. This group is for anyone in the community dealing with grief after the death of a loved one. The Republican Women of Simpson County will hold their quarterly meeting on Monday, Jan. 26, at Jose’s Mexican Restaurant with a social at 5:30 p.m. and the business meeting at 6 p.m. State Representative Noah Sanford will be guest speaker. Guests are welcome.

Gospel group DayThree will be singing at Siloam Baptist Church located on 268 Siloam Church Road Magee,MS 39111 on Sunday night February 1, 2026, at 5 p.m. A love offering will be taken. Come out and enjoy the evening.

A Women’s Conference will be held at First Baptist Church of Magee on Saturday, Feb. 7, from 10 - 12 noon. Cost is $10 per person, which includes lunch. No childcare provided. Speakers are Beth Bowman and Rosalind Rawls of Broadmoor Baptist Church in Madison and worship leader Tiffany Mangum of Strong River Baptist Church in Pinola. All women are invited. A Black History Month Commemoration Banquet will be held on Saturday, Feb. 7, beginning at 4 p.m. at the PriorityOne Senior Center, 662 12th Ave. SE in Magee (the old YMCA building). Tickets are $30 each. The event is sposnored by the Simpson County Federation of Democratic Women.

Pilgrim Rest Community Development, in partnership with Mississippi Food Networks, will continue monthly food distributions on the third Thursday of each month from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Pilgrim Rest Family Life Center, 169 Pilgrim Rest Rd., Pinola, MS 39149.
Overflow Church sponsors a Food Pantry Distribution monthly on the third Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. People can also donate food to help. Bring items by the church on Mon-Thurs, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Located at 222 Railroad Dr., Magee, MS 39111.
The Magee Library has Story Time for Pre-Kindergarten children every Wednesday at 11 a.m. Go to the Events tab on https://cmrls.lib.ms.us/ to pre-register or come by the library.
Morning prayer and afternoon luncheon is held every Thursday at Mt. Moriah Church. Prayer time is 11 a.m. until noon. Lunch and fellowship time is 12:15-1:15 p.m. Prayer and lunch are open to all people to get spiritually fed and natural food for the soul. Senior citizens, the needy and the homeless, come and bring a friend. Mt. Moriah Church is located at 160 Mt. Moriah Church Road, Magee.
The Books-n-Lunch Club meets at the Magee Library at 12:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month to discuss a book chosen for adult readers. Potluck lunch is served, so bring a dish.
