It features a fall festival atmosphere, shopping, arts and crafts, car show and Touch-a-Truck, Kids Zone, chicken show, games, food, music and more. The Main Street Magee Association and First Baptist Church of Magee will host Treat Street on Main on Thursday, Oct. 30, from 6-8 p.m. Trick-or-treat on Main Ave. with local businesses, food trucks, a Kids’ Zone, and a Hay Ride through the city. FBC Magee will offer “Story Street” on 1st Ave. NW for no charge, featuring live scenes from the Bible and candy tables. 2nd Avenue and Lake Circle neighborhoods are joining in too, no charge. Wristbands: $5 per child (all ages) for entrance to Treat Street. Hay Ride: $3 with wristband/ $5 without. Kids’ Zone: $10 for unlimited play. Local businesses can get involved. Puckett Methodist Women will hold a Missions Market Place, Saturday Nov. 1, from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. at Puckett Methodist Church, 6412 Hwy 18 in downtown Puckett MS. Proceeds to go to help children on the autism spectrum attend Center Ridge Outpost summer camp, and to fund the Friends in Need campaign to help those with cancer and other medical expenses. The day will include vendors with handmade items, rummage sale, raffle items, and a soup lunch café for a bargain at $5/bowl. This year will also include a “Cruize In” car show from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Frozen casseroles will be sold to help you get through the Thanksgiving and Christmas season. New Hope Baptist Church’s 144th Homecoming Celebration will be held Sunday, Nov. 2, at 11 a.m. with lunch immediately following the services. We are located at 335 New Hope Road, Mt. Olive, MS 39119. Just as a reminder, Daylight Savings Time ends on Nov 2, and we will “fall back” one hour to regular time that day.

The 4th Annual Antique Car Show and Parade will be a part of the Jefferson Davis County Veterans Day Celebration in Prentiss on Saturday, Nov. 8, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Rain or shine, registration for the car show and parade line-up begins at 9:30 a.m. at Williams’ Restaurant/Jeffersonian Hotel. Parade starts at 10 a.m. Car show set-up at Longleaf Trace Parks. Show time starts at 11 a.m. Preregistration for car show is $10. Pilgrim Rest Community Development in partnership with Mississippi Food Networks will continue monthly food distributions on the third Thursday of each month from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Pilgrim Rest Family Life Center, 169 Pilgrim Rest Rd., Pinola, MS 39149.
Overflow Church sponsors a Food Pantry Distribution monthly on the third Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. People can also donate food to help. Bring items by the church on Mon-Thurs, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Located at 222 Railroad Dr., Magee, MS 39111.

Morning prayer and afternoon luncheon is held every Thursday at Mt. Moriah Church. Prayer time is 11 a.m. until noon. Lunch and fellowship time is 12:15-1:15 p.m. Prayer and lunch are open to all people to get spiritually fed and natural food for the soul. The Books-n-Lunch Club meets at the Magee Library at 12:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month to discuss a book chosen for adult readers. Potluck lunch is served, so bring a dish.
