Parents are invited to a meeting of Parents Are the 1st Teachers on Saturday, Nov. 15, 9 a.m.-12 noon, at the Magee Public Library Meeting Room. Panelists are educators who will discuss topics pertinent to parents, such as Supporting Academic Success, Building Literacy, Understanding Assessment Reports, Parent Advocacy, Discipline, and Parental Tips for Preparing Children for a More Rigorous Curriculum. Morning prayer and afternoon luncheon is held every Thursday at Mt. Moriah Church. Prayer time is 11 a.m. until noon.
