Mendenhall Public Library Preschool Story Time Thursday, June 12, 10 a.m. Hey moms! Join us for fun stories, silly songs and a fun craft at our story time. This week our theme is all about Dad.

Crafternoon: Father's Day, Friday, June 13, 2 p.m. Come to the Mendenhall Library for this special Crafternoon program. Mrs. Kathie will lead us in a fun craft to make for Dad. Supplies will be provided, while they last.

The 5th Annual Red Ryder Revival BB Gun Tournament will be held at the Magee Sportsplex soccer fields on Saturday, June 14, beginning at 9 a.m. There will be shooting divisions for all ages, and the BB guns will be provided. New Zion M.B. Church invites all ages to its 2025 Vacation Bible School on June 16-18 from 5 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Theme: #Follow Jesus Living Faithfully in a Connected World.

Join us for “Magnified — Discovering the Bigness of God in the Smallest of Things,” the theme for Vacation Bible School at Siloam Baptist Church, 268 Siloam Church Rd., Magee. Ages 3 years through 12 graders. Sessions will be held on June 16-20 from 6-8:30 p.m., and a meal will be provided in the fellowship hall at 6:00.

The USDA Service Center, which houses the Simpson County Farm Service Agency (FSA) and the Simpson County Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) offices, located at 3080 Simpson Hwy. 13, Mendenhall, MS, will be CLOSED Thursday, June 19, for Juneteenth.

COB Ministry Community Fish Fry & Garage Sale will be held Saturday, June 21, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at 160 Mt. Moriah Church Rd. in Magee. Come enjoy free food and fellowship.

Good Hope M. B. Church will have their Annual Revival SErvices on June 29 - July 2. Everyone is invited. On Sunday, June 29, at 11 a.m., Pastor Ralph Walker will bring the message. Services for Monday-Wednesday begin at 7:15 p.m. nightly. Rev. Cornelius McDonald, pastor of John the Baptist Church in Barnett and Pearlie Grove Church in Quitman, will be guest speaker.

Pilgrim Rest Community Development in partnership with Mississippi Food Networks will continue monthly food distributions on the third Thursday of each month from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Pilgrim Rest Family Life Center, 169 Pilgrim Rest Rd., Pinola, MS 39149.
Overflow Church sponsors a Food Pantry Distribution monthly on the third Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. People can also donate food to help. Bring items by the church on Mon-Thurs, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Located at 222 Railroad Dr., Magee, MS 39111.
The Magee Library has Story Time for Pre-Kindergarten children every Wednesday at 11 a.m. Go to the Events tab on https://cmrls.lib.ms.us/ to pre-register or come by the library.
OFC Life-Line, formerly “Celebrate Recovery,” meets every Wednesday night at Overflow Church at 6:30 p.m., 222 Railroad Dr., Magee, MS 39111. We also have a livestream that starts at 6:15 p.m.
Morning prayer and afternoon luncheon is held every Thursday at Mt. Moriah Church. Prayer time is 11 a.m. until noon. Lunch and fellowship time is 12:15-1:15 p.m. Prayer and lunch are open to all people to get spiritually fed and natural food for the soul. Senior citizens, the needy and the homeless, come and bring a friend. Mt. Moriah Church is located at 160 Mt. Moriah Church Road, Magee.
The Books-n-Lunch Club meets at the Magee Library at 12:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month to discuss a book chosen for adult readers. Potluck lunch is served, so bring a dish. New participants welcome. Call the library at 601-849-3747 or come by for information or to pick up a copy of the book for the month.
The Simpson County Federation of Democratic Women meets at the E911 Building in Mendenhall the third Saturday of each month from 10-11 a.m.
American Legion Post 74 meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month. at the VFW, Hwy 49, Magee, at 6:30 p.m. Veterans and active duty service personnel welcome.
