The Center for Pregnancy Choices (CPC) of Simpson County has a new home! It is now located inside the mini mall on Main Street in Mendenhall.
“This is an exciting time for our center! We are now in the very heart of Mendenhall…easily assessable to anyone who may need our services,” says Melissa Sullivan, executive director of the CPC.
The CPC exists to offer hope to women, men and families who find themselves in a hard spot. When a woman is faced with a pregnancy she may not have expected, the CPC’s goal is to show her that all life is precious and there is an intentional purpose for this life.
Sullivan continued, “We walk alongside her as she decides the best option for her, be it to place for adoption or to parent, we will assist her with each step.”
The CPC offers free pregnancy testing, ultrasounds by appointment, parenting classes, fatherhood classes and a host of lifeskills courses that can better equip families to be successful and reach their goals. “First and foremost it is our desire at the CPC to present the hope of The Gospel of Jesus to every person who walks through our doors,” Sullivan said.
The CPC has also scheduled their annual fundraising banquet for April 17, to be held at Crosspointe Venue and Chapel on Macedonia Road in Mendenhall. This year’s speaker is Ginger Worthington, executive director of The Women’s Resource Center in Cleveland, MS.
“Ginger has a beautiful testimony as well and offers a wealth of knowledge related to pregnancy resource centers. It is going to be a great night of wonderful food and fun!
“Chris Williams will be preparing pork chops and we will have all the yummy sides and desserts. There is no charge for this event, but we do ask that you RSVP in order for us to make proper preparations,” Sullivan explained. There will, however, be a time set aside for donations during the event.
