The Magee Chamber of Commerce Annual Crazy Day hits a milestone, celebrating 50 years on Saturday, October 25, opening at 8 a.m. Prayer and the National Anthem will begin at 9 a.m. in the green space next to PriorityOne Bank.
This year also celebrates 75 years of the Magee Volunteer Fire Department. Along with the traditional Touch a Truck there will be an open house of the fire station from 8:30 am till noon. At 10:00 am MVFD will have a live extraction giving attendees a firsthand look at what that involves.
Registration for the car show begins at 7:30 am. It includes a wide range from classic cars and trucks; modern cars and trucks; hot rods and rat rods; muscle cars and sports and imports. Judging takes place between 9:30 am and 12:30 pm. Entry fee is $20 with an application.
The Magee Community House will host 100 Years of Trojan Football all day. Visit and see the memorabilia and perhaps speak with former players about their years on the gridiron.
“Classic Vibe” from Hattiesburg will provide music this year. The group will be in the green space next to PriorityOne Bank. They will play from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Always a favorite is the Kid Zone with inflatables in the parking lot beside the Magee Community House.
Several food vendors will be on hand too. They include Billy Lofton BBQ, Cattlemen’s Association, E & I Lemonade, Kool Kupz, Mac Brothers BBQ, Munchies & More, Shivers Fish House, Small Tyme Hotdogs, and The Little Griddle.
