Ex-friar found guilty of sexual abuse of former student at Catholic school

A former Franciscan friar has been found guilty of sexually abusing a grade-school student during the 1990s at a Greenwood Catholic school.
A Leflore County jury deliberated less than an hour Wednesday before finding Paul West guilty of one count of sexual battery and one count of gratification of lust.

Arrest Made in Robbery Investigation

On the 22nd of March at approximately 3:30 p.m., a black male entered Factory Connection and physically assaulted the store clerk before removing approximately $400 cash from cash register. Magee Officers were able to get video footage from a nearby business and were able to identify the subject as Denzale Sandifier of Pinola.
