Curtis L. Whitfield gained his heavenly wings on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at Chateau Pines Assisted Living in Brandon, MS. He was born on April 2, 1934, in Westwego, LA, to Louie M. and Curtis Estell Ward Whitfield.
He is survived by one son, Curtis Todd Whitfield; daughter, Debbie Laird (Robert); grandchildren, Adam Laird, April Laird, Dillon Whitfield, Christopher Whitfield, Ashley Whitfield, and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louie and Curtis Estell Whitfield; and his sister, Ruby Peoples.
Service was held on June 18, 2025, at Tutor Funeral Home in Mendenhall, MS, with Bro. James Smith officiating. Interment followed in D'Lo Cemetery.
