Daniel “Danny Mack” Herrington, 77, of Magee, MS, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Magee General Hospital in Magee, MS. He was born Tuesday, August 26, 1947, in Magee, MS.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 19, 2025, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee, 302 Eighth Ave SW, Magee, MS. Funeral services were held on Monday, January 20, 2025, at 1 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee. Burial followed in Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Magee, MS. Bro. Timothy Reed officiated. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee was in charge of arrangements, 601-849-5031.
Danny Mack was a hard-working, dependable, loyal man. He loved his family fiercely, especially his grandkids. He was the type of person who would give you the shirt off his back. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He will be deeply missed.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kermit Herrington; mother, Nellie Dee Parker Herrington; uncle, Oscar Brown; and aunt, Margaret Parker Brown.
Survivors include his wife, Kay Sellers Herrington; son, Brian Scott Herrington (Ashley); grandchildren, Brian Scott Herrington, Jr., Lylla Herrington, Audranna Herrington, James Herrington and Charlie Herrington; nephew, Hal Bowman (Karen); and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
