Earnest H. Stewart passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at his residence. He was 81 years old. He was born on November 15, 1942, to Claude Stewart and Edna Newman Stewart in Kenova, West Virginia.
From his younger years, Earnest proudly joined The United States Navy. He loved the sea and retired serving his country. He also worked for the United States Postal Service. He was a great family man. He was a member of VFW Simpson County Post 9122. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a son, father, grandfather and brother. His family will greatly miss him.
He is survived by his three sons, Stephen Stewart, Samuel Stewart, and Stanley Stewart; sisters, Cookie, Dottie, and Nancy; and grandchildren, Cassidy, Christopher, Isabelle, Ireland, and Harley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Fred Stewart, and his sister, Ruthie.
His family will hold a private memorial service for Earnest on Saturday, October 26, 2024, for family and friends.
