Elsie Jean McLendon passed on February 5, 2025. She was born on February 4, 1944, in Magee, MS, to Preston Mangum and Elsie Kennedy Mangum.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dan McLendon, and her daughter, Tammy McLendon.
She is survived by her daughter, Debbie McPherson; sister, Dean McCrory; four grandsons, Jared Herring, Keith Herring, Kevin Herring, and Nathan Herring; and four great-grandchildren.
The family received friends on February 11, 2025, at Tutor Funeral Home in the chapel with Brother Johnny Sykes officiating. Interment followed in Magee City Cemetery.
Arrangements were entrusted to Tutor Funeral Home.
