Mississippi University for Women’s president, Nora Miller, got the message in her effort to change the school’s outdated name.
It better have a “W” prominently in it.
The first proposal of Miller’s naming committee, Mississippi Brightwell University, got widely panned. This week, the school offered three new gender-neutral choices: Mississippi Wynbridge University, Mississippi Welbright University and Mississippi Wynbright University.
Though a bit obtuse, those are improvements. At least they all are conducive to the school’s longtime nickname, “The W.”
