Jerry Champagne passed on October 2, 2024. Jerry’s mother was Idalea Walker Champagne (deceased) and father was Daniel Philip Champagne (deceased). Jerry’s brothers are Daniel Philip Champagne, Jr., and Craig Champagne (deceased). Jerry and Laura had three sons, Christopher Robert Champagne, Jonathan Philip Champagne, and Brian Matthew Champagne.
Honorary pallbearers are Danny Champagne, Billy Hawayek, Lee Giogio, Chris Champagne, Jonny Champagne, Brian Champagne, Karen Bachemin and Nathan McConnell.
Jerry graduated from Holy Cross High School in 1967. After graduation from high school, Jerry decided to join the Airforce. After completing basic training, Jerry was assigned to Airforce reconnaissance inVietnam. After completing two tours in Vietnam, he went to college at UNO, where he graduated with a bachelor of science degree of business management. Jerry then worked for the Federal Reserve Bank. He retired from FISERV as a project manger.
The family moved to Mandeville 40 years, and after Katrina, we decided to move to Magee, Mississippi.
The visitation will be October 18, 2024, beginning at 11 a.m. Had to move times because some folks had a long ride.
The funeral will be held at Westhaven Memorial Funeral Home 110 Mary Grove Church Magee, Mississippi 39111.
