Jody Wayne McKinney Sr. passed away unexpectedly from an accident while working on Monday, September 23, 2024. He was 54 years old. He was born on October 9, 1969, to Jimmy McKinney and Deborah Steele McKinney in New Augusta.
Jody always had a smile on his face. He was a friend to all and would give you the shirt off his back. He was a jack of all trades. He loved and adored his family, and they will significantly feel his loss.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Dionne Herrington McKinney; son, Jody Baldos (Cami); daughters, Macy McKinney (Dwayne Fairchild), Charity Gaviorno (Lucas), Heidi Spell (Trey); sisters, Amanda Crawley and Crystal Palmer; and grandchildren, Neli, Ayva and Dawson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy and Deborah McKinney.
The family received friends on Friday, September 27, 2024, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Corinth Baptist Church, Magee, MS. Brother Andy Gipson officiated the service at 2:00, with interment following in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.
Arrangements were entrusted to Tutor Funeral Home of Mendenhall.
