Joel Ray (Joe) Ates, 88, passed away on September 6, 2024. Joe was born on August 27, 1936, in Magee, Mississippi, to Elmer and Hattie Rae Ates.
Visitation was held on September 9, 2024, at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee. Visitation was held on September 10, 2024, at Coat Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held on September 10, 2024, at Coat Baptist Church. Burial followed in Sharon Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Magee, Mississippi. Bro. Bill Blair officiated.
