John Barry Hylender, 60, of Magee, MS, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at his home in Magee. He was born Friday, May 1, 1964, in Jackson, Mississippi, to the late Ann Hylender Hopkins and the late W.H. Hylender.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 19, 2024, from 9 a.m. until 11a.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee. Funeral services were held on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee. Burial followed in Magee City Cemetery in Magee. Bro. Gary Roberts officiated. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee was in charge of arrangements, 601-849-5031.
The highlight of his days was being with family and meeting his friends at McDonald's to drink coffee.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Vicky Hylender; parents, W.H. Hylender and Ann Hylender Hopkins; sister-in-law, Sherry Hylender.
Survivors include his brothers, Rickey Hylender (Betty), Tim Hylender (Dianne), Craig Hylender and David Hylender (Joyce); brother-in-law, Pete Barnett; and a host of nieces and nephews
