With President Trump working day and night to “drain the swamp” that is federal government, most of us are thrilled. We have seen the waste and inefficiency we’re paying for with our tax money, and we don’t like it.
But apparently, some folks do like living in the swamp and are doing their darndest to keep all our feet stuck in their murky mess. You have to wonder why any city would want to support thousands of illegal immigrants. Why would anyone object to saving money by making government agencies more efficient and streamlined? Why wouldn’t we want our children educated?
But liberals are squealing like stuck hogs over every Trump move to clean up federal government and restore common sense to operating the country. Why?
Because liberals, most of them Democrats, don’t want the America most of us want. They want a whole different concept for the country, a Marxist or One World government which they have been erroneously led to believe will be “paradise.”
Other liberals have been on the U.S. Gravy Train forever and don’t want that cushy ride derailed.
If you look at each change President Trump attempts that liberals are protesting, you begin to see why they hate what seems like common sense to the rest of us. Each change thwarts a liberal plan to create either a Marxist society or blend America into One World.
So big liberal cities are refusing to cooperate with the president’s plan to round up illegal immigrants and send them home. This would stop the Democrats’ intention to create a huge Democratic voting block in large cities. The fact that the plan didn’t even work last November didn’t deter them. They’re bulking up their electorate to try again in 2028.
A number of grants are administered by federal agencies to help immigrants who say they are seeking asylum in cities like Chicago and San Francisco. The funding to each city runs in the millions each year, but how do we know our tax dollars actually go to immigrants?
The One Worlders want the floods of immigrants here because they want to eliminate all sovereign nations. To create One World (governed by those who are leading the movement like Bill Gates, Barack Obama and the Soros family) you have to give up your borders and your self-governing country. They claim it will be good for us. But look how much power those leaders will get! It’s a prize worth disobeying the law for so that’s what they’re doing.
Being a fiscal conservative myself, I can’t imagine anyone resisting Trump’s plan to find and eliminate waste in government spending. The work of DOGE makes perfect sense to me, but I also see why the Make America Weak Again crowd are calling “foul.”
Democrats (and RINOs like Sen. Mitch McConnell) don’t want to eliminate waste because “pork” buys votes back home. It also fattens the pockets of bureaucrats and politicians who get huge projects approved in Congress. Once the contract is granted, the politician who sponsored it may get a huge kickback from the contractor.
And why would our government give away millions through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and the State Department to projects in other countries like advancing Diversity/ Equality/Inclusion with a DEI musical in Ireland and a transgender opera in Columbia? The purpose of USAID is to “promote global stability and prosperity.” These projects are more likely to promote instability, but they’re great for social engineering to retrain people in the way liberals want them to think.
Another reason for the Democrats’ budget busting, unfortunately, was to bankrupt America so that it can no longer be the strongest nation in the world — you can’t have a “strongest nation” if your goal is to create One World. Much of Biden’s “foreign aid” was given to spread the wealth to other nations that would become One World-ers and deplete the wealth of our own country.
And, of course, the career bureaucrats are crying in their Ovaltine in fear of losing their unnecessary jobs in these wasteful agencies. They think it unfair that American taxpayers won’t keep supporting them to do jobs they either aren’t doing or that don’t need doing. But they’re bound to be college graduates, so it shouldn’t be hard to find work in the public sector.
And why hang on to the U.S. Department of Education? It’s a financial vacuum that has presided over shrinking math and reading skills while pushing social re-engineering courses like gender identification and DEI in place of academic courses. But a dumbed down population is easier to control, especially if people are only concerned about whether they are girls or boys.
So you see, all this resistance to Trump’s plans to improve the nation makes total sense after all. If you like living in a swamp.
