Linda Diane Bishop, 76, of Mendenhall, MS, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 10, 2024, at the Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. She was born Sunday, October 5, 1947, in Magee, MS.
Visitation was held on Thursday, June 13, 2024, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 302 Eighth Ave SW, Magee, MS. Funeral services were held on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. Burial followed in Magee City Cemetery in Magee, MS. Bro. Wade Mathis officiated. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee was in charge of arrangements, 601-849-5031.
Diane was a member of Kennedy Springs Baptist Church. She was a graduate of White Oak. She was a devoted caregiver, a loving wife, sister, and friend. She will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gayle Bishop; father, Allen Bratcher; mother, Lois Warren Bratcher; step-son, David Bishop.
She is survived by her brother, Ricky Bratcher (Gail); sister, Pam Bratcher; nephew, Josh Bratcher; niece, Lindsey Frye (Timothy); great-nephew, Brooks Frye; great niece, Lexi Frye; step-son, Hamilton Bishop (Kathleen); step-grandchildren, Josh Bishop (Katie) and Andrew Bishop; and a host of cousins, other family, and friends.
Pallbearers were Josh Bratcher, Timothy Frye, William Searcy, Joseph Gill, Josh Bishop, and Andrew Bishop.
