Livingston Willis “PeeWee” Mangum, 62, of Magee, MS, lost his battle with cancer on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at his residence in Magee. He was born Wednesday, October 31, 1962, in Mendenhall, MS.
PeeWee was Magee’s mascot, and everyone knew him and loved him. He never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was a friend to everyone he met. He loved life and people, and even though he struggled during his life, he never complained. He always had a positive attitude and his famous quote was “This won’t get me down.”
He was preceded in death by his father, Homer Mangum, Sr.; mother, Maxie Dunaway Mangum; brothers, Homer Mangum, Jr. and Charlie Mangum; and sister, Deborah Kay Tullos.
Survivors include his sisters, Maxine Kelly (Ronald), Barbara Riley (Clifton), Betty Craft (Jeff); sweet friend, Stephanie; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and his extended Boswell family.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Boyles, John Loud, Isaac Sanderford, Kenny Roberts, John Craft, and Hunter Emfinger.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bo Turnage, Noah Sanderford, Davey Rather, Aaron Sanderford, and Robby Kinsey.
